  • Our Music

Music is a vital part of the worship experience at Old Stone Church! Opportunities for participation include singing in the adult choir, singing in the children’s choir, or providing instrumental accompaniment or solo music.

The adult choir consists of one dozen women and men committed to glorifying God through music and encouraging the congregation through hymn and anthem singing each week between September and June. Anyone interested in joining this wonderful and friendly group is invited to contact Jonathan Budd through the church office; no prior music knowledge is required!

On special occasions such as Christmas and Easter, our children’s choir of elementary and middle school children presents inspiring music during worship; parents should contact Jonathan Budd through the church office if their children would be interested in participating!

Our music experience at Old Stone Church is enhanced richly through participation of instruments from trumpets to flutes, from percussion to piano. If you have an interest in sharing your instrumental gift with the congregation, please contact Jonathan Budd through the church office.

Minister of Music Jonathan S. Budd has twenty-five years experience as a church choir director and organist. His educational background includes a B.A. from Connecticut College, an M.A. from Trinity College, and a Ph.D. from Columbia University. He serves as Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessments for the Trumbull Public Schools, and considers it a privilege to balance that exciting work with the exciting work of sustaining great music at Old Stone Church. He invites your outreach to discuss how you can be part of that vision!
